Don't really know how to describe this but the characters like (.:+-*~!$ ^{} and so on.. does anyone know a site that shows all the little designs you can make from. lol I hope someone knows what I'm talking about.

Perhaps you are looking for a font.
Look in the Windows font folder.
You may be looking for "wingdings" or "webdings", both are in that folder.
Windows has a built in font viewer, so just right click on either folder and select open. One of those may be what you are looking for.
